WELCOME to NHCC
We enjoy meeting new people.

We know that coming to a new church for the first time can be daunting. Maybe you are familiar with going to church or maybe not, but either way, it can be tough to just drop in and show up for the first time.

If it helps, we want you to know that we are fully aware of the challenges of showing up at a church for the first time and will do everything we can to make you feel at ease and we certainly won't put you on the spot.

We just want to make sure you know that we look forward to seeing you here, that you are welcomed here and we were all here once "for the first time" and we are glad that we kept coming back. It has become HOME for us.

What if something happens while you there that you don't understand or you don't know what you are supposed to do?

We hope you can take comfort in knowing that you will never be singled our or embarrassed when you are here. But in addition, we try to be very transparent about what is happening during our worship celebration so that what we are doing and why we are doing it is very clear.

Of course, if there is still something that is confusing or concerning about something we say or do, you are certainly welcome to talk with any of our staff members or contact us later during the week and we will be happy to talk with you about whatever confusion or concern you have.

We are here as a church family to worship and honor God and to encourage and build up each other in our walk of faith.

Here's what to expect:

-
You will be greeted as you enter the building by friendly people who will let you know that we are glad you're with us.

-
You can grab a cup of coffee, a bottle of chilled water, and/or a simple refreshment ... feel free to sit anywhere you would like, no assigned seats here.

-
We would love to have you singing along with the praise team, but if you choose to just listen, we promise we won't give you a hard time about it.

-
You will hear a message that will be relevant but even more important, true to the Bible. Our opinions are fine, God's words carry so much more weight!

I believe that when you go to church it ought to be a good experience – and be a place you want to be. It’s my hope that people feel that way every week at NHCC.
NHCC is a Biblical church communicating God’s Word in a creative and compelling way. We do our best to reach people at all stages in life – through our loving children’s ministry, challenging teen’s ministry, and encouraging adult ministry. That’s because no matter what stage of life you’re in, you need to learn about or be reminded of the life-changing love of God.
Whether you’re investigating spiritual things for the first time – or looking for a church where you can feel at home, I’m glad you’re looking at New Horizons. I invite you to learn more about NHCC and I hope you’ll visit our worship.

I believe you’ll feel at home, and you’ll be glad you came.

SINGING
We sing songs of worship and praise to God. We sing a variety of songs with simple instrumentation encouraging all to sing and praise God with us.

PRAYER
We pray at different times during our worship but we also have an active prayer team that prays for special needs. If you have such a need, please feel free to post it on our prayer wall at the rear of our worship center or you can send a special need any time to our prayer team. Email our Prayer Ministry leader, Phil Walter and he will contact the members for prayer.
COMMUNION/LORD'S SUPPER
We celebrate the Lord's Supper, also called Communion, every Sunday. We do this to follow the command of Jesus found in Luke 22:19-20, "And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.'"
BIBLE TEACHING / MESSAGE
Each week, our Lead Pastor, Frank Foreman, shares a message from the Bible designed to encourage and challenge you. Please know that if you questions about the message, you are more than welcome to contact Frank to ask whatever question you might have, even if you disagree with something he said. If you would be interested in hearing one of more of the messages shared here at NHCC, please feel free to visit our Preaching PODCAST Page by clicking on this LINK.
GIVING
During the worship, we do pass plates for the collection of our offerings to God. This time, while not limited to, is designed for our church family to share in the ministry of our church. If you wish to give we would never rob you of the job and opportunity to give to Lord, but please do not feel obligated. We believe that giving is a commandment to His people, but what you give and how you give is between you and God. In addition to in person giving, we offer an online giving option for those that might be interested in giving in that manner.
